Clear Plastic Masks becomes Ranch Ghost become Oh Dang Lo Mein becomes Chrome Pony becomes Natalie Prass becomes Majestico.
We are all one and we will prove it with diversity!
We will all cover each other’s songs (3 bands/3 songs per Unit) and donate whatever money we get to Fred Ready’s Cancer Foundation he’s starting. It’s like a defibrillator for the 501-c3 sector covered in butter and booze.
To put it safely: it’s about damn time. Unafraid to take up a pace much closer to nature’s than the urban sprawl, Majestico has finally solidified an album for the people to hear.
Recorded – like so many of the delicious things in our lives – by Andrija Tokic (AKA Dreya, AKA Dre-Babe, AKA Dr. Dre, AKA The-Dre) at the Bomb Shelter here in Nashville, it does the right thing by most any standards. It’s got quite a few of the jams you’ve heard for a long time now, as well as more recently penned ones, that are more future-indicative of the tender baby-bamboo shoot finally exploding that is Graham Fitzpenn and co. who have spread their roots so deep and so far for so long now.
Here’s to not surviving the New Age Revival.
Out 2/11/14 on ATO Record Club and 3/4/14 to everyone else via ATO.

On March 5th, Blacktooth Records is proud to release the new record by Chrome Pony, entitled Lazy Bones.
This is Chrome Pony’s first full length and you get to go on a real fast and fun ride with this one, ladies.
Chrome Pony is obviously the brothers Davis, Tyler and Kyle, with Matt Shaw (Fly Golden Eagle/Majestico) playing bass, and Ben Trimble (Fly Golden Eagle) and Matt Menold (Clear Plastic Masks) also chipping in. It was recorded at The Bomb Shelter and Ben’s house, produced by Ben Trimble and Chrome Pony, engineered by Ben and Andrija Tokic, and Andrija also mixed and mastered it at the Bomb Shelter.
Them’s the deetz and we’ll have more for you as the day approaches.
Majestico is releasing a fairly good take of their staple songs this Saturday. Get on it, get played on, get tape on it. The neon kind. Watch out for the punks that come your way, Bay-Bay say. Is Love God? say Jose but we don’t know so now you know. I’d personally rather see my teeth in drag than drag my teeth all around this town but that’s the city for you. Good luck.

Now available from the Blacktooth Store and soon in all local Nashville record stores, the new EP from Hepatitties, ‘Balanlity Winkin” featuring the new EP in both stereo and mono, 3 remixes, and every demo they’ve ever done! The complete collectors edition indeed. Peaches would be proud with this crowded horse race. Get your copy today. Yes.
Random: Fly Golden Eagle is back from their tour with Clear Plastic Masks and Banditos (it was awesome, so the legends go). Chrome Pony flexed a bit, both in town and out. More news from them soon. Majestico has a record coming out that’s not on us but that’s OK and they are working on an awesome video that holds the final resting place of some lovely ladies that we’ll show you all soon. Square People went on a little show-jaunt and watched a promoter get socked by a heroin-addict, Russel roofied himself in Mobile and came back from it more wise than we thought possible, giving us great advice which we’ll put into practice soon. Jeff gave us VHS footage, and Bill Rowe got Fly Golden Eagle to open up for Big Freedia.
In short: things are awesome. And we hope things are awesome for you, too. See you in the future primitive.
Fly Golden Eagle will be playing 2 shows zis week:
5/18 at the High Watt with Fool’s Gold (click here: <click!>) and 5/21 at the Unitarian Lodge with Action! and Each Other (click here: <click!>)
Chrome Pony will be at the Bomb Shelter next week, recording their follow-pup to Illegal Smiles, which is tentatively called Pizza Burden or Prove it Wasn’t Poppy Seeds. If they go through with naming their album based on a pun I might be really upset. But it’ll be out.
Majestico and Ranch Ghost are going to go play shows out of town. When someone gives me dates, I’ll put them up here. Bill Rowe is out of town, so I’m manning the turret for now, but I don’t know how good of a job I’m doing when I can’t even get tour dates that are happening in a week. Leave a comment so the boss doesn’t fire me.
Tonight, at a relatively abandoned-yet-for-sale-forever building across from Franz, Cricket, or the Family Wash (depending on your geographical orientation as well as your socio-economic bracket), Johnathan Davis’s art will be displayed, Matt Tocco’s drinks will be made, and we here at Blacktooth Records will be spinning. It’s a party for all your senses and it’s pretty surgical.
Take a peek, won’t you? We’ve had this in the wheelhouse for a while, so we’re pretty excited.
$5 to participate in the liberation of the cocktail, the rest is free or donation.
